Connect with Community

Jesus told us, his disciples, to make disciples of all nations. One of the most important values of Zion Christian Reformed Church is our mission to the world. It begins in our own community, and spreads overseas to every nation. Zion Church members are involved in a variety of ministries from things as simple as washing dishes after Sunday morning fellowship, to participating on a worship team, to helping in one of our Children’s ministries!

Mission Outreach

Zion CRC grabs on to God’s challenge to us to “go out among the nations”. Zion CRC supports two missionaries: Sheila Dykstra with Christian Reformed World Missions and the VanderMeer Family with Wycliffe Bible Translators. (for more information, visit our Mission’s page) Visit our Mission’s page to find out more about our missionaries!

Worship Team

As Christians we are called to worship God! At Zion, we worship God with diverse music ranging from more contemporary songs, to traditional hymns, to gospel songs! We acknowledge that everyone worships differently, and we strive to keep our worship diverse so that everyone can worship in a way that relates to them. For more information on worship at Zion, visit our worship page.

Ushers

The usher team at Zion Christian Reformed Church fills an important role. They are involved in directing attendees to their seats, ensuring the safety of the building during services, guiding traffic, helping visitors, answering questions, providing direction, unlocking doors, locking doors, and generally ensuring that the service can proceed problem-free. The usher team is a servant-hearted group of men and women whose ministry is integral to church life.

Media & Technology

We have been blessed with technology that helps us spread the word of God to so many. We are always looking for people interested to get involved in our Audio/Visual team. Running sound, operating the PowerPoint presentation, and filming the service are all part of carrying out our mission of connecting people to God, to each other and to the world. Consider becoming a part of our Audio/Visual team today!

Restorative Practices

At Zion, we recognize that the church is not free of conflicts. Zion has committed to be a Restorative Practice church, focussed on and committed to growing and building relationships with each other in times of happiness and celebration, and in times of struggle and hurt. For more information on the Restorative Practice program through Shalem, visit their website at: http://shalemnetwork.org/support-programs/support-programs-restorative-practice/faithcare/ or contact the Zion Church office.

Prayer Team

Prayer is one of the ways in which we can communicate with our Lord. Mid-week prayer meeting happens every week at Zion on Wednesday mornings at 10:30 in the prayer room. You are welcomed to come and join us. If you cannot make it, send your prayer requests to us and they will be directed to the Prayer Team.

Prayer teams are also available each Sunday after the morning worship service if you are moved through the service, or if God is calling you to lift something up in prayer. They are always glad to pray with you!

Community Groups

Community Groups are small groups of 6-10 people that meet bi-weekly to grow in relationship with each other, grow in relationship with God, and serve our community! For more information about Community Groups, or to join one, visit www.zioncrc.ca/community-groups
