Worship is a crucial part of every Church congregation’s life together with God. Here you will find information about how and why we worship the way we do. You’ll also find links here for the leaders of our worship services to plan services.

Why We Worship the Way We Do

“Zion Church has been called to proclaim the good news of Jesus Christ and to extend His compassionate love to the Durham Region.” --Rev. Arlan Koppendrayer, Zion CRC, August 1995.

How We Worship...

For Worship Leaders...

“Participating in the leadership of a Worship Service is a profound privilege. Those who do facilitate nothing less than a meeting between God and His people. When people gather in such a setting it is, ordinarily, the most important hour of their week. Likewise it is important to God. Worship is the moment of deepest intimacy between Jesus and His bride.

“Certainly awe, praise, laughter, tears and truth are appropriate components of this moment. Worship can indeed be joyful and celebrative. But it must never be haphazard and self-serving. So together, in light of our calling and vision, we must work to develop services that help visitors and seekers feel welcome and included and simultaneously nourish the spiritual lives of believers.” --Rev. Arlan Koppendrayer, Zion CRC, August, 1995.
